Restaurants, Nightlife, and more  in Destin, FL

This past week was my Spring Break, and my friends and I took a road trip to Destin, Florida! The first night, we made a pit stop in New Orleans and stayed at The Saint Hotel and I highly recommend it. It is a great location – only one block away from Bourbon street and very close to The French Quarter. For dinner we ate at Acme Oyster House. It is a great option if you are looking for affordable seafood with a good atmosphere.

The next day we hit the road and made the remaining 6 hour drive to Destin! Some of the restaurants we went to while on our trip were Fudpucker’s (which is actually a bar/restaurant/arcade all in one!), Whale Tail’s, and Surf Hut! Whale Tail’s is a two story bar and grill located LITERALLY on the beach. It is a great environment with an extensive drink menu and great food! At Surf Hut I highly recommend their Taco Trio – it was amazinnnggg.

For the night life, I highly recommend going to The Village of Baytowne Warf! Here you will find a ton of boutiques, shopping, restaurants, bars and more. We spent the evening at Rum Runner’s piano bar which was a ton of fun and had a great atmosphere. Another night on our trip we ate at The Village Door, which according to their website is “home to the hottest Destin, Miramar, Santa Rosa Beach, 30A and Panama City Beach nightlife.”  (LOL) Surprisingly, their food was SO GOOD! The Village of Baytowne Warf is perfect for any age and is convenient to have all the shops, bars, and eateries in one place.

The Perfect One-Piece (Under $50)

I have been on the search for the perfect one piece for so long, and finally found one I feel in loveee with! I feel like black is the perfect staple swimsuit because it is so timeless and goes with everything. What I love about this swimsuit is that the material is thick and it is lined so it keeps everything in place. Most importantly, this swimsuit is SO comfortable. The last thing you want is to wear something to the beach that you don’t feel comfortable moving around in. My beautiful friend and I’s swimsuits are both from Pac Sun, I will link them both at the end of the post!

A cold front came through while we were in Destin, so most of the time I had my swimsuit paired with some high waisted shorts and a cover up! Coming from Texas, I was unprepared to see how beautiful Destin beaches really are! The water literally looks like pool water – it is that clear. If you haven’t been to Florida beaches yet – you definitely need to add it to your to-do list! The beaches are stunning. There is a ton to do, and it is sure to be a trip you won’t forget.
