What’s in my Back to School Bag
Does anyone else get excited about back to school season, or is it just me?! There’s just something super refreshing about getting back into the routine of things and actually having a schedule to follow. However, I am not too crazy about early mornings, but coffee helps make them a little more bearable! I personally love checking out what other people’s must have essentials are that they carry in their purse, so I thought I would share a back to school version of what I carry in my bag!
Finding the Perfect Planner
I am someone who absolutely has to write things down or else I won’t remember it, so my number one essential is finding a good planner that I will actually use. May Designs was kind enough to gift me a planner from their site and I have already gotten a ton of use out of it! Crazy enough, I actually used a May Designs planner all throughout High School, so when they reached out to me I was super excited to work with them. The cool thing about their planners is they are 100% customizable – down to the print, pages inside, monograms, you name it. You can even customize the inside pages whether you want it to be a bullet journal, meal planner, budget planner – the choice is all yours. I chose the 2018 school agenda calendar in the print “poppy,” and it has everything I need to keep up with college, important dates, and just life in general. There are hundreds of combination styles, and the best part is they allow you to see a preview of what your planner will look like. This time of year the planners are always so picked over in stores, so I’m thankful I had mine delivered right to my door with May Designs!
My other must-haves
Aside from a planner, the next thing I always have with me in my backpack is my laptop. I have a marble case for mine, and so far it has put up pretty well so I will link the exact one I have below! I also always like to keep a book handy in my bag. Some recent reads that I have loved are Love Does (Bob Goff), The Nightingale (Kristin Hannah) and Small Great Things (Jodi Piccoult). If y’all want a full blog post dedicated to some of my favorite books + mini reviews, please let me know! I would love to do that for y’all but don’t want to bore you if no one is interested.
Some other essentials I always keep with me are a pencil pouch, perfume roller, note pad, small bag of makeup essentials, and a water bottle. I’ve been trying to be better about drinking more water each day and having a water bottle on you is like a constant reminder! I actually have a whole blog post about how I motivate myself to drink more water, and little tips and tricks I do to ensure I’m getting enough throughout the day. I hope you guys enjoyed this back to school post, if you want to see more posts relating to BTS, let me know in the comments section!
