Back to Basics: Simple Outfit Pieces everyone needs in their closet!
Today I wanted to get back to the basics with y’all, and share some of my go-to places to shop for those simple pieces everyone needs in their closet! Sometimes I get caught up in all the trends out there and forget the importance of finding classic, timeless pieces for your wardrobe. Everyone needs a pair of jeans and a comfy tee they couldn’t live without! I’m bringing your my best kept secrets on how to find simple, quality pieces for your wardrobe that won’t break the bank!
Let’s talk Denim.
My go-to stores to shop denim are Gap, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Levi, and Nordstrom. If I had to pick an absolute favorite pair of denim I own at the moment, it is definitely my pair of High Rise Straight Denim from Gap! I love that they don’t have a ton of stretch to them, so they actually stay true to size after multiple wears. There’s nothing I hate more than buying pair of jeans that fit snug and then after a few wears they have stretched multiple sizes! My number one tip is always hit the sales rack and outlet malls. I can always find Paige denim, another favorite of mine, from Nordstrom rack for over 50% off normal price!
Here are my top picks:

Annnd, this is actually perfect timing to buy sweaters because everything is marked down and on crazy sales. I’m always so excited for summer apparel that I am over buying sweaters, but truth is this is the best time to stock up for next season! I suggest buying some simple colors that way you know it will still be in trend next fall. Neutrals never go out of style, although I am one to love a pop of color here and there! For sweaters, my go-to stores are ASOS, Target, Loft, and

Let’s talk Tees.
There have been too many times that I think I have found the perfect tee, only to put it in the wash and it come out toddler sized. If you’re like me and too lazy to hand wash your clothes, you need some staple tees that will actually survive the washer and drier. From experience thus far, I am loving tees from Madewell, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Express, and Pac Sun.
